Lane Farguson is the Chief of Staff and External Relations for the Halifax Port Authority. He provides strategic support, operational management, communication and coordination, stakeholder and government relations, project management and decision-making support to the President and CEO and executive team. He started with the Halifax Port Authority in 2013 as a media advisor.

Lane previously worked with the RCMP in Nova Scotia in corporate communications. Before that, he was a Legislature Reporter with CTV in Halifax. He was also a senior political correspondent for CHUM Television in Ontario.
