Since joining the executive team in 2017, Emily has been involved in shaping the strategic direction of the Southern Railway of British Columbia group of companies that includes Southern Railway of British Columbia (SRY), Blue Water Rail Services, and Southern Railway of Vancouver Island. Emily advises the companies on all commercial, environmental, real estate, and litigation matters. She leads engagement with community and government stakeholders, is passionate about rail safety education as a Rail Safety Ambassador, and oversees the Health, Safety, and Environment portfolio. Emily’s legal career began as a litigator at a large national law firm, and she previously served as an environmental prosecutor.
