
Director of Communications Marketing, Halifax Port Authority
A leader in strategic communications, Lori has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors managing complex projects and delivering results.
Since March 2024, she has been leading the transformation of the Port’s communications, with a focus on sharing the Port’s activities with diverse audiences.
Her role at the Halifax Port Authority follows a long career with publicly traded companies in the energy industry, supporting offshore, midstream, and downstream energy development in Canada, including export terminals on the West Coast. An award-winning writer and former journalist, she has been published in major newspapers and magazines across Canada.
Lori is part of the Atlantic Reading Circle for Project Bookmark Canada, a national initiative that celebrates Canadian literature.
She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Carleton University, a Graduate Certificate in Communications Management from Royal Roads University, and a Bachelor of Science and Arts from Dalhousie University, where she also served on the Board of Governors as a representative of the Alumni Association.
